Glastonbury 2013 takes a rain check on mudfest talk as sunshine predicted

Glastonbury

The Glastonbury weather forecast is improving. Despite previous threats of rain, meteorologists now predict next week will be full of sun. Nevertheless, don't leave your wellies behind if you are heading to Somerset.
Although it doesn't look like there will be much precipitation between Wednesday 26 June and Sunday 30 June, there's no guarantee Worthy Farm will be dry.
Moderate rain is predicted at Glastonbury over the course of the next week, with a little more expected on Thursday. Even if the skies are mostly clear, the mud may take a while to go away – especially with 137,000 visitors tramping around on ground likely to be sodden after Britain's wet spring.
Still, Weather Outlook, Accuweather and Jackone at Netweather agree that this year's bash will be mostly sunny, with daytime temperatures around 19C. There might be a little rain on Thursday and Sunday, but "most [simulation] runs are positive", Jackone announced. Better buy some sunglasses.
